I had a friend at school who lost almost $500 bucks to a scholarship scam. They are out there and preying on people every day. You have to do your homework and trust your gut when dealing with a situation that doesn’t feel 100% right!

This is a great post. Nice job. A lot of it is common sense, but the reminders are good. I think the most obvious scam is the one that looks for application fees–watch out!
