I also have never thought about this and I'm quite disappointed I didn't think it sooner. It would have made a much better informative blog than my personal one.

If only I would have written a blog about my study, I could have as stated above "improved and refreshed my memory" on my course (psychology) and it would definitely be more of an individual goal, something outside of University that I could look forward to instead of assignments.

It would have been priceless to put my thoughts and ideas about the study onto a blog, especially if it gave some valuable feedback.

This is an awesome idea. I will be sure to recommend it to all my Blogging buddies. Thanks Nate for the unbelievable idea. Something so basic.

Well I've a blog about studying, and it mostly helped me with studying itself. I started to be a pioneer more in ways of studying, which made studying more fun for me!
Besides it, I see it as an experiment, which is still pretty awesome! All these above reasons play their part as well of course!

Nice post,

Thank you all for your useful comments! I have learn so much from all the comments on Debt-free Scholar!

@ Elise
You have a great point. More and more employers are using the internet to research potential employees. Building a solid online presence can be an excellent way to impress them.

@ Ibrahim
You brought up another great point. Writing a college blog about college is a great way to keep abreast of the latest "tips and tricks" for college students - thereby learning better yourself!

@ Norma
I have just visited you blog, and it seems to be an excellent resource for adult students. I am looking forward to reading more posts from you!

I've recently started a blog, back2schoolmoms.com, for those of us who are starting college a little later in life. It's tough to go into a classroom with students who are mainly the same age as your own kids are! I'm hoping I can share a little advice and inspiration to others who are thinking of heading back to the classroom.

I'm trying to find some other bloggers my this niche "Old School but not too old for school." If anyone knows of anyone doing this too, I'd really appreciate if you could e-mail me.

Thanks!

Each of these and more are the reasons I started ZenCollegeLife.com. Of course it also helped keep me grounded throughout my undergraduate program. I learned a lot, and I had to keep up with the latest and greatest way to succeed in college. It's been a fantastic ride.

You know, I never thought about this. This is actually an excellent idea. It's almost like you are creating your own portfolio online and with the ways that times are changing, I think that employers do not only research job candidates on the internet to see what "bad" things they may have done, but also to see what good things they have done. How would an employer feel if after researching you, they find that you are a leading industry advisor and possibly have a blog tied to your name.

This would be especially true for me, since I am getting my degree in eMarketing (online marketing), and we are all about online content. This is a very good tip! Thanks Nate! :)
