Shutting things off when you working on school or whatever works for me. I can’t learn with my computer on, even if it’s in another room, it just doesn’t work. So when I have to learn, I shut everything off.

I definitely have to agree with you on these, especially the phones. While studying, it’s VERY easy to get a text message and become engrossed in the conversation, never really returning to studying, but wasting a lot of time because texts take a while to send/receive/type/etc.

I learned quickly that the best way to study was to isolate myself completely, which meant turning off my phone. Great list.
