Like collegegirl, I too went the prepaid route, however I chose Straight Talk. Now I pay $45 a month and get unlimited talk, text, and web. It's sooo much cheaper than when I had my blackberry, and I get to use my phone just as much. I've never dropped a call, either! I ultimately went with Net10 prepaid because AT&T simply could not compete with the deal in terms of savings and phone. While I was skeptical of prepaid after so many years with a contract carrier, prepaid turns out to be a really great alternative. Net10 allows me to choose a phone and pay at will without a contract as well as keeping $65 a month in my pocket - even texting is cheaper is at .05 a text.
